Spring 2024 – We’ve been waiting for you!

Green buds on trees, tulips emerging from the ground, and basketball tournaments in full-swing – I’m enjoying all the signs of Springtime and hope you are too!

Our Women’s Ministry has a unique role to share and promote a biblical identity for women. This Spring we’re offering a new class to help you learn and grow in understanding God’s design and desire for you, His daughter. – Women, Sex, and Jesus: A Gospel Story.

I imagine you asking the same thing I’ve heard from others, “Why are you calling this, Women, Sex, and Jesus? And what makes this a Gospel story?”

For the past year+, I’ve been deep-diving into scripture, books, podcasts, webinars, and hours of in-person conversations to better understand the pressures, temptations, and destructive fallout women are experiencing around issues of sexuality in this cultural climate. I can’t shake the importance of this moment for the women I get to minister among – we long for Truth to shine in the murky darkness of women’s sexual brokenness.

The Truth is women matter to God. Sex matters to God and it matters for women. Jesus spoke to women in contexts that were sexually driven, and he met women in situations where they experienced sexual shame – at all times He showed women that He viewed them as more than objects or inconveniences. The gospel story is good news for women … not simply because we are saved and will spend eternity with God … but also because Jesus is our only hope to live free from the brokenness of sin in our world.

With that in mind, I’m inviting you to begin a conversation with me and other women in our church over 4 weeks in April – Sundays @ 10:45am // D103 or Tuesdays @9:30 am // D203. For all the details + REGISTER

The topics we will cover include the following:

Theology of Sex – God’s original design and the effects of sin

Our Bodies Matter to God – Faithfulness for Single and Married women alike

Sexual Integrity in Sinful Culture – examples from the early Church as they relate to us now

We will also address questions from the group that come up during the discussion.

I’d love to have you join us!
