Beginning

It’s just lovely to be able to meet together again as new classes begin. Excitement and energy are always part of beginning. After all, this is the main event we’ve been preparing over the summer  . . .

Hooray for growing rosters!

Cheers to room set ups and workbooks all settled in place!

In the clamor of getting off to a big start, I lost track of one of the deep truths I learned over the summer:

“Don’t despise these small beginnings, for the LORD rejoices to see the work begin.”  Zechariah 4:10

Oh, yes, the small beginnings of solitude and thoughtfulness.

Sinking into quiet moments with Jesus.

Learning to listen and wait.

Living present.

Being.

Whether you find yourself in middle of big things or not, might I encourage you to notice the small, seemingly insignificant, delights that God brings into your experience every day?

Because those just might be the true beginnings through which God can work.
