It’s September, and you know what that means! EquipHer Bible studies begin again. I can’t wait to get started. This fall’s class will be offered on both Sunday and Tuesday mornings.
Join us for Living Jesus: Field Notes for Colossians. Field notes are observations made by someone engaged in a field of study.
“All field notes generally consist of two parts: descriptive, in which the observer attempts to capture a word-picture of the setting, actions, and conversations:; and reflective, in which the observer records thoughts, ideas, questions and concerns based on the observation and interviews.”
Come along with us as Shereen leads us on an investigation of the book of Colossians. Here’s how she describes the class:
The challenge to faithfully follow Jesus in a corrupt culture struck the early church in Colossae much like it does us today – with false teaching, immorality and division. Jesus lived uncorrupted in our world, and in Him, we can too. Using Paul’s letter as our field of study, we’ll observe what living like Jesus looks like, how we can become more like Him, and the impact that has on those around us. Join us in person for teaching, group discussion, and prayer.
