Ready, Set . . . GO Register!

Keyboard-fingersI don’t know about you, but I’m feeling kind of Fall-ish today. The kids are back in school, the house is quiet, cold, soft rain falls against my office windows. Yup, definitely Fall-ish. And you know what that means?

Fall Equip Her bible studies are just around the corner. I can’t wait!

If you are like me, you probably haven’t had much time this summer to even catch your breath, let alone think about our fall classes. If that’s the case, I’ve decided to make it easy for you. Instead of digging through the Atlas or going online to the church’s website, I’ll tell you everything you want to know about our class lineup— right here, right now. Simply pull up a chair, grab your favorite hot beverage, and take a few minutes to think about what class you’d like to take.

Chances are there will be more than one.

Our Tuesday Morning Lineup (Sept. 10 – Dec. 3)

Selah: A Study in the Psalms                                                                                                 What do you say to God?

The Psalms beautifully record corporate and individual expressions of need, deliverance, desperation, and joy. Join us as we learn from Psalms of thanksgiving, adoration, praise, confession and lament. Weekly homework will focus on personal application, practicing the honest interaction with God we see in each Psalm. The class will be heavily discussion-oriented, and we will practice using the Psalms as a model for our own prayer/communication with God.

Teacher: Renee Meyer

Joseph:  Faith in the Middle
Is it possible to struggle well when your life seems stuck?

The twists and turns that happened in Joseph’s life are more compelling than fiction. More remarkable, though, is his reaction and attitude in response to those circumstances. Even though Joseph’s story is familiar to all of us, I think he still has a lot he can teach us. Family betrayal, loss of dreams, integrity, temptation, success, bitterness, forgiveness, and obedience were all a part of Joseph’s story.  Whether we are in a season of blessings or trials, our response and obedience to God is what matters.  The story of Joseph, ultimately, teaches us how to be more like Christ.

This class will be a combination of instruction, whole class and small group discussion, and prayer time.  Homework will be minimal and will involve scripture reading and personal journaling.

Teacher: Stacey Kuszak

Beautiful Offering                                                                                                             The King is enthralled with your beauty. Do you believe that?

Or do you feel you have nothing to offer in return for God’s extravagant love? In this video study by Angela Thomas, we will investigate Christ’s Sermon on the Mount to understand that our lives—no matter how broken, tarnished, ragged or torn—can still become a beautiful offering.

With eleven weeks to work through a six-week study, we’ll have plenty of time to go deep and learn from each other in large and small group discussion. Weekly homework accompanies the video lessons.
