Believe it or not, it’s that time of year again. Online registration for our fall EquipHer classes opens on Monday, August 8. Once again, we will offer classes on Tuesday and Sunday Mornings and Wednesday Nights. Hopefully one of these time slots will fit your schedule. In the next few weeks, we will be giving you a more in-depth look at each of the classes here on the blog, but for those of you who want to register right away, here’s a brief overview of our line-up for fall.
Tuesdays, September 13 – December 07, 9:00AM – 11:30AM
Choose from one of these four electives:
Moms Uplifting Moms (MUMs) // Facilitator: Laurie Harms Just for moms! We offer a place to gather with other mothers of preschoolers to learn to seek God’s best for yourself and your family. You’ll be led through study in God’s Word, group discussion and prayer time. Cost: Free through September 6th, $10 any date after. Homework: 15 min/day, scripture reading encouraged. Selah // Teachers: Stacey Kuszak & Renee Meyer NEW!! Designed for moms with kids in elementary – high school years. This community will explore the question: how might we love, lead and influence our families? Bible study will focus on hearing the call of Jesus to follow him. You and God. Mom-to-Mom. Pause to pursue with purpose! Cost: $10 (workbook included). Homework: 20-30 min/day.
Fearless – A Study of Daniel // Teacher: Kathy Anderson God is in control. Do you believe that? Or do you lose sleep over what the future might hold for you and your loved ones? Maybe the pull of the culture feels too strong to battle. Come walk with us through the book of Daniel and learn how one man’s faith gave him the courage to influence a pagan society for God. Cost: $10 (workbook included). Homework: 30-60 min/week.
Epic of Eden // Teacher: Sara Eyster This video study featuring Sandra Richter, Ph.D. (Wheaton College faculty) offers a unique opportunity for a deeply substantive and profound spiritual exploration of the Old Testament. Step into an “Emmaus Road” experience where “our hearts burn within us,” (Luke 24:27) as the Scriptures are opened in ways that build confidence in the Lord of the Bible. Cost: $25 (workbook included). Homework: 5 lessons/week, 30+ min/lesson.
Sundays, September 18 – December 04, 9:00AM – 10:15AM
What Love Is: A Study in 1, 2, 3 John // Facilitators: Marlys Burgett & Shereen Schwaninger Sunday morning is your place to connect with other women and engage God’s Word! As we study the letters of 1, 2, and 3 John, we’ll explore what it means to consistently follow Jesus and walk in the Truth while we navigate our secular culture. Join us each week for a DVD study with Kelly Minter, guest speakers, activities and small group time. Cost: $13 (workbook included). Homework: 15 min/day.
Wednesdays, September 14 – December 07, 6:30PM – 8:00PM
1 Kings: A Divided Heart/A Divided Nation // Teacher: Denise Davis This verse-by-verse study focuses on the reign of King Solomon and the lessons to be learned from the life of a man who “had it all” – wisdom, wealth, power – and yet allowed his heart to be turned from God. See how the effects on his kingdom relate to our culture today. Cost: $18 (workbook included). Homework: 60 min/week using Precepts method of study. Childcare and AdventureLand Kids’ Clubs available.
